What transforms prospects to captivated clients, cash-in-hand?
Capturing attention may seem a bit impossible in today's world of stimuli-overload. Challenging, but not impossible.
It takes strategy, thought, and a healthy dose of creativity. Knowing exactly who your ideal clients are is a start. It also takes realizing:
People need your products and services... they just don't know it yet.
Those campaign emails, media ads and landing pages take hours of precious time away from other things, that only you're best at.
You're busy being the expert, running your business. You don't have to do it all. Nor should you.
Forbes noted one of the number one reasons business fail is due to not hiring the expert help they need to succeed.
Hiring a freelancer's help can be scary. How do you know they have your best interests in mind? That they're not just out for a paycheck, but that they actually want to help you andcare about your business... and believe in it?
Trust is the most valuable part of any working relationship-- which is why I take it so seriously (scroll below to view what some of my clients have to say about our work together).
Words couldn't be more important. They're often the first impression of your business people get, and they're either luring in your ideal match leads... or repelling viewers like two magnetic poles.
That's why I use words to highlight your company culture, brand and voice in a way your ideal clients can relate to and believe.
How do you know if you need to invest in copywriting?
Here's some general guidelines I use to help clients decide if we'd be a good match:
Your to-do list gets longer everyday-- not shorter.
You know lead nurturing is important... but there's no time!
Nobody's opening your emails and viewers are bouncing off your website like flies... and you don't know why.
You're a startup in the health and wellness sector with passion, heart and enthusiasm.
You're overwhelmed. You're not sure how to get people to work with you in a sea of competition.
You walk your talk. You care about this precious earth we all share and you truly, sincerely, authentically, want to make an impact.
You believe quality gets results and keeps clients. That's why investing in quality pays off.
On the other hand, we're probably not a good fit, if...
You'd like a document written as fast as possible.
You're copy is already winning you more leads than you know what to do with.
Quality isn't a top priority.
You'd rather save on dollars now because you've got this on your own.
You don't care if your copy aligns with your values-- as long as it brings in leads.
(...ok, you get the point.)
Hopefully you've identified more with the first list. Assuming we're still on the same page, here's what I promise to provide every client I work with:
Writing you want to keep reading
Content that highlights your culture, your voice, your values
Prompt, thorough communication
Quality, proof-read, ORIGINAL content (yes, that's a "thing"... careful where you shop)
Emotionally captivating writing that tells a story, and engages (if we're doing a blog post, for instance)
Copy that puts an arm around prospects and makes them feel CARED about

P.S. I’d be doing my clients a disservice if I only wrote their copy. It takes so much more than just writing.
I partner with my clients to be their thought partner. Together, we map a plan, a concept, a vision. We gain clarity about what it is you’re wanting to say. And then we devise a WAY to say it so that your prospects will understand how you can help them.
Are your clients breezing past your web page because they don’t know what a gold mine it is?
Because they don’t understand (even though you do) HOW it can help them?
Is your message crystal clear to you but murky as mud to your readers?
Mapping out a plan and identifying the pitfalls is the real work that must be done so that your copy serves your business. I LOVE doing this for my clients.
As a client, you want to feel comfortable to voice your concerns and ask questions, so that you receive copy you’re proud of.
And, you probably want a thought partner, a copywriter, who knows you and the ins and outs of your business so that you don’t have to waste your breath repeating the details to a new freelancer every time you have a project. Likewise, I’m in it to build a lasting relationship with my clients.
In case you’re wondering why I do what I do (what’s so enthralling about writing landing pages other than the fact that I love to write)? Here's why: I help people's messages be heard. I help break communication barriers, so that together we can build a better world, connect back to nature and each other; so we can embrace technology in healthy, positive ways... and so that ultimately, we can plug back into our source: the natural world. Idealistic? Yes. Genuine? All the way. So, what's your message? The world needs to hear it. Let's share it.
